Here is this week's update: Mar 12th 2021
As always, we begin our class with Likhita Japa, Opening Prayers and Dhyana Shloka
We started the session with Kids sharing their experience with building a Boomerang. This is to learn the point that what goes around comes around or as they say "As you sow, so shall you reap" - the "boomerang effect."
We then did a brief recap of the last class and then touched upon Vibhishana geeta – The basis of Keys to success – The Dharma Chariot . We discussed the similarities and differences between Vibhishna Geeta and Bhagavad Geeta.
We gave a brief introduction to the Dhrama Chariot and focused the discussion on two key characteristics – Sauraja and Dhiraja
Suaraja: Valor: strength of mind or spirit that enables a person to encounter danger with firmness : personal bravery. Suaraja: Comes from Sanskrit word Saurya – means bravery or Heroism. – is the strength and ability to face external challenges. We discussed the following stories that outlines this characteristic
• Ratnakar
• Who will bell the Cat
• Cherokee – Indian tribe – Path to manhood
Dhiraja : Fortitude strength of mind that enables a person to encounter danger or bear pain or adversity with courage. Dhiraja is the Ability to withstand the onslaught of inner weakness and have Patience. We then discussed the following stories and used this to explain this characteristics.
• Golden Egg
• Traffic
• Flower blossoming / Seasonal
We then concluded the "Keys to success" topic with introducing the next two characteristics - Satya (Truthfulness ) and Sila (Good Character) which are represented by the 2 Flags atop the chariot
Bhagavad Gita : Chapter 2 verses 29, 30, 31, 32

We also revised verses 9-12. Varun led chanting and the rest of the class followed.
