Armor :
Like a soldier wears an armor to protect himself in the battlefield, in life we should protect ourselves with an armor of devotion to Guru. A teacher is anyone from whom we learn to better ourselves - it could be anyone from a small child to greatest philosopher. Guru not only protects us but also guides us throughout our lives.
We talked about the importance of having a Guru - to keep us on the path of spirituality and guide us, and how when the time is right, Guru will find us and guide us.
One of the kids' talked about Swami Chinmayananda's life history. We went over important chapters of Gurudev's life. Its because of Gurudev's vision, we are attending Balavihar and learning about spirituality at such a young age. We will be forever be grateful to him and seek his grace.
We chanted Gurustotram in the class and went over the meaning of 10 verses. We will continue with the rest of them in the next class.
As part of 105th Gurudev's Jayanti on 8th May, we participated in Guru Paduka Puja. Many kids were well-prepared for the occasion with a thaali, Gurudev's Paduka/photo, akshada, flowers and fruits.
May Gurudev's grace always be with us.
