Hari Om Parents!
Today was the twenty-sixth class of Balavihar!! Here is the summary of what we covered in class today:
After everyone joined the Zoom session:
1. We started the class with the Opening prayers. We together chanted Om three times and then chanted Sahana vavatu. Then most of the kids chanted the bhajans we learnt so far- Ganesh, Krishna, Rama and Hanuman.
2. Attendance was taken.
3. Three JCHYKS Varun, Vivan and Yash who joined us to teach the kids. They introduced themselves and did an Icebreaker round with the kids to get comfortable and to get them talking. Kids also asked them some questions.
4.Then Varun explained to the kids the lines from the Pledge "Fight Against all low Tendencies"
narrated the story of the An Arrogant Jackal and related it to the lines from Pledge.
5.And then Vivan explained them the lines from the Pledge "Honesty and Nobility" and narrated the story of The Honest Mr. Colgate
6. Lastly Yash explained them the Pledge line "Giving" and "Sharing" and narrated the story of The half Golden Mongoose
7. Then we did Jumping Jacks and did couple of Yoga poses.
8. After this we said our closing prayers and ended the session.
We all had a good time with the JCHYKS and we thoroughly enjoyed the stories and the way they related to how the kids can follow in their own little way. Our kids responded to the JCKYKS and answered their questions.
Next week May 30th is holiday as its long weekend due to Memorial day and next Balavihar class is on June 6th.
