May 23, 2021 - Grade 2 (Sunday AM)

Hari om parents,

Hope all of you are doing well. Here is the summary of our class -
1. We started our class with 3 OM's and the regular shlokas for Lord Ganesha, Devi Saraswati & Our Guru.
2. We then chanted the Dhyaan shlok and turned it into a game of charades. It was lots of fun, kids acting out the quality of Hanumanji for their friends.
3. We listened to the Hanuman Chalisa - https://youtu.be/jTNu-R9KA-4
4.Hanuman Chalisa - We continued further with meanings of Chaupai -
  *Sankat katai...  Hanumat Balbeera
All the difficulties and pains are removed, of those who invoke the all powerful Hanuman. When we pray to him, he inspires us to be brave as well and this gives strength to deal with our situation better. Have you heard the phrase, "Faith Moves Mountains!" Meaning, if we have faith in the Lord and ourselves, we can accomplish anything in the world.
  *Jai Jai... Ki nain
Victory to you, O Hanuman ji who has control over his senses. Bless us with your grace as your preceptor. Anyone who is in full control of one's senses and worships Hanuman ji with full devotion, will emerge victorious.
5. Our special visitors (Bhaiyyas - Ashwin, Arjun & Niranjan), the JCHYK's joined us for the rest of the session. They organized a wonderful quiz for us, if kids want to practice here is the link -
7. One of the Bhaiyyas told us the story how Hanumanji saved Lakshman by getting the Sanjeevani herb. Hanuman ji overcame so many obstacles to get the herb to revive Lakshman.
8. Hanuman Movie - We could only watch for 10 min as we were out of time. here is the link -

Thank you to Ashwin, Arjun & Niranjan for coming to our class for a fun session. Next week we don't have a class. Enjoy the Memorial Day weekend! Take care!

Regards,
Chitra & Rupa.
