Hari om parents,
Prayers
We started the class with pranayamams and three OM's, then each of our children led the beginning prayers one at a time from Karagre to the last one Karacharana. It is good to hear them.
Then we chanted together the Ramayana Dhyaana slokha
"Neelambuja shyamala komalaangam" (page 129 of My Prayers green book).
Then we recited "Namramyanam bhajan (Balakandam, Ayodhyakandam, Aranyakandam, Kishkindakandam, and Sundarakandam).
Key to Success
We reviewed what is Masterkey for life's success from last class.
Then we started topic "The secret to success" and "how do we gain knowledge".
Discussed that secret for success is A+B+C = success
Where A = hardwork, B =knolwdge and C = capacity to laugh.
We listened to two stories about fruit seller for Hardwork and knowledge, Thomas Edison episode about Capacity to laugh.
We discussed Prasada buddi, which is accepting any result with happy face.
We discussed how to use our mind, body, and intelligent. We reviewed how to sharpen our instrument which is our Mind.
The lesson closing is our destination is to be happy in life. Children participated in discussions.
Geeta Chanting
Children were asked to practice Geeta Chanting Chapter 2 last four verses 34-38, with the help of Swamiji's video. The resource for the Geeta audio file is at Chinmayavrindavan.org
Brain Break
Then we did the physical movement activity, children got up and did stretching activity.Children played word wall review game about Ramayanam.
Arti and Pledge
We concluded the class arti followed by a pledge led by one of our students.
