.We revised our last Alphabet P - Prayer briefly. The children shared their thoughts on how they prayed during the week. We learnt from Aayan how he prays to the Sun god (Surya Bhagavan).
Then we moved on to cover our final Alphabet Q = Quite - "Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi". The children shared their thoughts on what is the meaning of being quiet, how we need to be quiet when studying or preparing for a test, how it is difficult to hear and understand someone when there is a lot of noise around. We further watched the story of the foolish Tortoise, who ended up losing his life just because he could keep his mouth closed and be quiet. After watching the story we discussed the story with the children to understand the importance of being quiet
The children then took a break for coloring sheet Q.
We proceeded to learn our balavihar pledge:
We stand as one family bound to each other with love and respect.
We serve as an army, courageous and disciplined, ever ready to fight against all low tendencies and false values, within and without us.
We discussed the importance of love & respect, by watching and discussing the story of ugly duckling. The children shared their ideas on how one should understand that everyone is different and that everyone is special. One should always respect their friends, classmates, neighbors and others in the community with love & respect. God has made everyone unique and special and by loving everything around, we are indirectly loving God
We closed out with our closing prayer & Aarti .
