Hari Om Parents,
Wish you & your loved ones a very Happy & Healthy 2021. Welcome to Week 11 of Balavihar 2020-2021 and the KG Sunday PM session. We were looking forward to reconnecting with our kindergartners after the long holiday break. We enjoyed listening to how the children spent their time during the holidays with their family and friends and spent a lot of time revising and brushing up on what has been covered so far. The children are now taking turns in leading the class reciting the slokas and all the rest of us follow. They seem to take pride in doing this, so we hope to expand this to other new slokas that we are planning to learn, including the Geeta chanting.

As a way to put their memory to test and a bit of fun, kids played the online Word Search Game. Based on our experience during the class this morning, and with kids needing help with the spelling and extra time, we have edited the game to make it simpler and fun for them to play & also revise all the alphabets and stories we have in the class thus far.
The kids then took turns to revise all the Alphabets and their description with actions. We spent extra time on O - Obedience, which we just started learning in our last session. We discussed how one has to be obedient, not just as a child but also as adults with examples of following (obeying) traffic rules, sun following the rule of rising every morning, even parents following rules of getting right things ready on time, children obeying parents, etc. We also watched this story of Hen and her naughty chick who did not obey her. Following this the children discussed what they saw in the story and what happens when the naughty chick did not obey her mother. How much effort the mother had to go through to fix the problem.

We spent extra time revising and learning the first four verses of the Geeta chanting chapter 2. This time we had a couple of kids who volunteered to lead us in on the first couple of verses. We hope the children will practice it home using these links. We have requested children to come with some practice so they can lead the class taking turns.
We then closed with Aarti
