Hari Om Parents!
Today was the eighth class of Balavihar!! Here is the summary of what we covered in class today:
After everyone joined the Zoom session,
1. We started the class with Opening prayers by chanting Om three times and then we all together chanted Sahana vavatu, followed by Ekadantam- Ganesha bhajan led by one of the kids.
2. Kids were taught that letter 'E' is for Enthusiasm -is to experience joy and excitement while striving for a goal. Kids learnt the alphabet chant 'Go Go, Go and Fly' and cheer clapping.
3.In the Brainstorming session, we discussed by various examples of situations when they feel excited and joyful. Kids happily shared and participated by providing answers and actively discussed and learnt the meaning of Enthusiasm.
4. Attendance was taken by each kid saying Hari Om when their name was called out.
5. Through the story of the starfish, we learnt how small actions can make a difference, and we need to work hard and enthusiasm is key to everything.
6. During quiet time, we did Body Scan yoga.
7. After this we had Story time, kids learnt through the story of the little squirrel, that it does not matter how small we are, when we do things with enthusiasm, we can accomplish anything no
matter what physical impediments we may have.
8. After this, we made kids chant Krishna bhajan-Mukam Karoti and Geeta chanting verse 2. Some of the kids are able to chant individually.
9. Kids were then asked to color the E Coloring sheet. Due to lack of time today, the interview with Dad questionnaire will be discussed in the next class.
10. Lastly we said the closing prayers and concluded the session.
Today, we had full attendance and an exciting session with kids actively participating by sharing their thoughts and views. Thank you parents for sitting through the session to help the kids.
For HousePoints - We suggest that as some of the kids are chanting Geeta verses 1 and 2 very well, please make them chant both verses together(without seeing in the paper) and record the same. And send the recording to email id : cnjbalaviharhouses@gmail.com
