Hari Om Parents,
Welcome to Week 10 of Balavihar 2020-2021 and the KG Sunday PM session. We had a full class today with enthusiastic participation from the children. They seem to enjoy the online games a lot and we are going to try to use the same to also practice the alphabets. We learnt a new alphabet N - Nobility (Mahatma Gandhiji Ki Jai). We first discussed the story of the noble cow, who was willing to give up her life for the sake of truth and keeping one's word. The Lion who was waiting to kill & eat the cow was so moved by her nobility that he spared her life and let her return to her calf. Then we also watched a small youtube story of the Noble Monkey King and all his subjects. The kids shared what they learnt from the story of how the Monkey King stayed till the end to ensure all his subjects crossed to safety before taking his turn. It moved the King of the nearby kingdom, who had actually come to take away his mangoes, to then leave the Monkeys unharmed and becoming friends with the Monkey king.
The kids then again took a game break which also helped them revise the alphabets and have some fun
We started learning our next alphabet O - Obedience, which we will continue further with stories and discussion
