  2. To spend more time on Geeta chanting we started this activity early this afternoon. We first revised our first & second verses of Geeta chanting activity. We attempted to take a word by word approach and the children are slowly picking up the pronunciations. We recommend extra practice at home using the links in the document shared above.

  3. We followed this with an activity break in the form of coloring the H - Happiness Train from the previous session's alphabet

  1. We then moved onto our next Alphabets J & K

J - Japa,  Rama Rama bolo Rama Rama Rama

K - Kind, God is Kind

We first started by learning what Japa is. How we start every session with the Om Chanting is also a form of Japa. This help is calming our mind and focusing on the work. We started by learning the first two verses of the Bhajan:

khate bhí rama kaho,

pite bhí rama kaho.

rama rama bolo rama rama,

rama rama bolo rama rama rama,

padhate bhí rama kaho,

likhate bhí rama kaho.

rama rama bolo rama rama,

rama rama bolo rama rama rama.

We started our discussion on the alphabet K with a short movie. The kids enjoyed the movie and discussed how the dog demonstrated kindness and in return the crane returned the gesture. We also briefly explored the importance of upcoming thanksgiving weekend how we should be kind and share our food with people who need it.

  1. And finally we closed with Aarthi

  2. Like today's session we plan to put extra focus on the Geeta chanting.
