Hari OM All,
- This week we started our class with prayers followed by Sri Maha Lakshmi Ashtakam. We have covered all the 8 verses so far. We plan to complete the Phala Shruti in the next class.
- Next we had a Mahābhārata quiz covering everything from Adi Parvā to Vana Parvā. There were over 60 questions and all the children were given an opportunity to answer the questions. It was a refresher for many students to remember the intricate details of the events from the Mahabharata covered in the class so far. All the students participated in this enthusiastically.We plan to have more such quizzes on Mahabharata later in the academic year.
- This was followed by a presentation on Diwali / Deepavali. We discussed how Diwali is celebrated over 5 days and how it's becoming popular in the USA also. The students were given a fun Diwali homework activity - to compose a Poem on Diwali (min 4 lines, max 16 lines) and recite it in the next class (Nov 22). We will send this HW to the parents via WhatsApp to share with their children.
- This was followed by chanting verses 5-6 from Bhagavad Gita - Chapter 2. We will send the video of this to the Parents via WhatsApp. We concluded the class with Shanti Mantras and Pledge.
Reminder: Our next class is on Nov 22 (no class next Sunday because of Diwali celebration).
