Hari OM

Welcome to week 2 of our zoom class at Chinmaya Vrindavan.

We started our class with our opening prayers "Sahanaavathu" followed by Vakrathunda Mahakaya, Saraswathi Namsthubhyam, Guru Brahma and Buddhir balam.

Yoga time:

We tried some yoga poses including eye exercises.

Bhagvatham Time:

We reviewed why God takes the form of Avatara and watched a video on Avataras of Vishnu.

God takes an avatara to teach us a lesson.

God takes an avatara to save someone nice.

God takes an avatara to remove evil.

 Story Time:

How was Bhagavatham written?

Shaunaka Rishi  lived in nimisharanya with his disciples . One day Sutaji a learned Rishi visited them.
All the students and the teacher paid respects to Sutaji and gathered around him. Saunaka Rishi asked a question to Sutaji so that the students could benefit.
Saunaka Rishi asked "please tell us how can a person become good and happy forever". Sutaji replied that he would love to and further he continued to state that it is given in a poem written by Sri Veda Vyasa called "Bhagavatam" which has 18,000 verses.

In the next class we are going to share how Bhagavatam was written.
