Sep 20, 2020 - Grade 7 (Sunday AM)

Hari OM Dear Families,

Here is this week's update.

Week 1:
20th September 2019 / 9:15AM
Shlokas
Class began with opening prayers. 3 Oms and followed by Sahanavavathu.
We learned a new sloka- Rama Dhyana slokam (from our syllabus) "Neelambuja syamala komalaangam" and it's overall meaning (Not word by word) We had two volunteers each from boys and girls who recited the slokam well.
Game
We played a kahoot game on our main topic- Ramayana. It was a fun quiz and kids participated with great enthusiasm.
Lesson introduction
Our main topic in this grade is learning The Ramayana and some of its main characters and values. We did a quick recap of the epic. The children saw a slideshow which had some pictorial representations of a few episodes of Ramayana  in a sequence. The images highlighted some main events from the epic.
The kids were asked their expectations from the story of Lord Rama. All of them pitched in to share their input.
Gita Chanting
We followed the introduction to the chanting video to understand and learn Gita better, which we will learn in the subsequent classes.
Bhajan
We started to learn Naama Ramayanam- first 4 lines.

Our next class is  on September 27th. Please note the following important information:
